Man's bestfriend

Meet Toby, our family dog-- and the LOVE of our lives. I was never much of an animal lover growing up, but how can you say, "no" to a face like this??

The more time I spend with Toby...the more I've come to realize and agree that dogs truly are "man's best friend." It's just so heartwarming when he greets you with such excitement and shimmies his butt towards you (as a sign that he wants to be carried) after you've returned home after a particularly long day; or when he nuzzles up next to you while you're sleeping; or even when he growls out of protectiveness when a stranger comes by.

Seems to me, like a dog's sole purpose on earth is to love and be loved in return. They're no different from us, if you think about it... All any of us really want, is to know that we belong [to someone]; that we matter; and that we're cared [for] and loved...


God has a funny sense of humor, doesn't He? ;)

The lesson of Faith

17Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines,the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food,the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,

18yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
